Metro
Designing new metro projects in urban areas is a complicated task. Numerous construction parts has to be designed to a variety of conditions and many building components must be included.
Soft rock/hard rock, secant piles, blasting or digging with road header. All needs to be optimised for the best result.
During the project different innovative designs is implemented and one of them is making slimmer, faster and cost saving components by including Dolenco Drain. Station wall, niches, tunnel lining and addits.
In this way the lining is secured temporarily in the short term and permanently in the long term.
Existing Road Tunnel
An increase in the need for renovating tunnels, has resulted in thinking in new and improved approaches.
Both time and cost are important factors, and closing an existing tunnel has great impact on the traffic systems.
Making it a long term, durable lining, by permanently managing water and preventing seeping into the tunnel, secures a long term solution for the structure.
New Rock Tunnel
Design decisions are to a large degree based on geological investigations.
However, during construction, there is a signiificant risk of encountering ground conditions and water challenges.
Making three new road tunnel around a city, resulted in the need for classical injection work during construction.
Comparing to the long time needed and uncertainty of the injection work, Dolenco Drain is installed and manages immediately any water ingress and futire ingress, when water potentially moves around behind the lining and finds new ways in.
Ventilation Shaft
Rethinking shaft design with Dolenco Drain made it possible to reduce concrete, cost and construction time significantly.
Securing the lining against hydrostatic pressure, the thickness is reduced significantly in the 70 meter deep shaft. By shotcreting, there is no need for formwork for casting. Together with fast and easy installation of Dolenco Drain, it reduce construction time significantly.
Resulting in infrastructure with long-term durability and minimal maintenance requirements.
Basement
Outside waterproofing of a basement wall along the mountain side is not possible.
The continuous water standing behind the wall is a continuous risk of water ingress throung the lining.
With Dolenco Drain mounted on the inside, only a thin, waterproof shotcrete lining is needed, saving on concrete.
Seeping water is led, behind the lining, to a drainage pipe at the base. Alleviating the water in Dolenco Drain prevents hydrostatic pressure on the innner lining and ensures a dry basement.
